Jazz is the workaholic of the gang and loves to try new things. She was an excellent agility partner and came very close to moving up the grades - but 2nd always seemed to be her lucky number!

Everyone loves Jazz in our house and she is the only dog we have that will play, and instigate play, with any of the others.

She is Buddy's daughter and I'm so glad I have her for that reason and also because she can turn her paw to anything. She has some HTM moves, amazing at agility, can do flyball AND is now the UK Hoopers' Novice Champion of 2021.
We have finally found a discipline that supports her need for flat out speed and she loves it. My crazy 'Bean' has found her niche in life and makes hoopers look easy, and she doesn't care who's handling her either, Elaine is her adopted handler and she still gets 1st Places!

I intended to breed Jazz when she was younger but we found out her mother suffers with hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid). As I cannot be sure that Jazz hasn't inherited the condition, and there are no definitive tests available, I decided not to breed her and risk her developing it. She would've been a great mum but her health is more important so she helps out with socialising our puppies.

On Friday 3rd January 2025 I had to say my last goodbye to Jazz. Only 2 weeks prior she had been diagnosed with a tumour in her bladder. We spent her last week enjoying the beaches in Norfolk, somewhere with lots of happy memories for us and we were determined to make the most of every minute.
I'm trying to focus on my plans for a positive future for the Bordertrix line, right now that is very difficult.
This photo sums Jazz up perfectly, look at that smile!
