About Rioja - Langamay Sparks of Colour For Bordertrix
My little golden girl has been a perfect fit at Bordertrix, despite Flint being
less than impressed that another dog could possibly be cuter than him!
Rioja and Zenii are firm friends already and I will use this page to update
her life story as it unfolds.

I am excited for our journey ahead which will see us attempting breed showing,
hoopers and agility. This girl certainly has the spark and speed for learning, she
loves toys and treats so I will be using lots of reward based training to ensure she
remains happy and confident.

At 5 months Rioja has learnt to stand still for a few seconds, we've yet to try this with distractions but we'll work hard to ensure she's ready for her showing debut.

Rioja is amazing to train and picks things up super fast, also she's so affectionate and gives great cuddles - perfect puppy.
Everything about this girl is just perfect, she's looks stunning and has the drive and speed to be amazing at dog sports. Watch this space for updates on our progress together.
She is now officially entered into her first breed show in February, I'm a little nervous because she just loves everyone and needs to say hello so keeping her focused will be challenging. Regardless, I know she is a great ambassador for the border collie breed, both in structure and temperament.

We attended a fabulous puppy foundations agility workshop with Tunde Bell & Jenny Kimber at The Dog Training Barn. Rioja struggled to stay focused during the first run but showed some amazing stuff we hadn't even touched on once settled, super proud :)
Our first trip to a beach, what a hoot, Rioja loved running and running and running. She made lots of new friends at Brancaster Beach with lots of opportunity to practise our recall :)
Rioja officially joined the Bordertrix Clan, slotted straight in and spent the first few weeks visiting agility and hoopers shows. She loves caravan life and has been working on self-control around the rings.
