Flint now competes at Champ level in agility

Representing IMCA Team UK in Italy 2025

Covid affected Flint's agility debut but, since July 2022, he has gone from grade 2 to 7 and is now a regular in championship classes across the UK. To keep him in tip-top condition he regularly attends hydro sessions, physiotherapy and a chiropractor.

He has qualified for lots of prestigious events along the way, won lots of league points counting towards finals. His rosette and trophy collection is very impressive.

Flint is offered at stud to approved and health tested girls of good temperament (strictly no merles). Please see our Stud Dog's Page for more information.

Flint and Rioja will be having a litter 2026 / early 2027.

Zenii had a busy 2025 season competing at agility shows and hoopers!

Zenii competed at her final hoopers competition of 2025 and gained a 3rd Place at Javawolf. She is now on maternity leave until May 2026, for her second and final litter.
From June we will be back in the agility ring and hoping we can get that last agility grade 3 win, she is so capable but doesn't like to show off too much. We had some really challenging courses in 2025 and I love to see her pull off some nifty moves and know she can pull it out the bag when needed.

Rioja aka Lanaamay Sparks of Colour For Bordertrix

rioja 7mth.jpg

Rioja has started her hoopers journey and, although she hasn't had a clear round yet, she is showing some excellent work under competition pressure.
We have attended a few fun agility shows over the winter and, again, she is showing amazing ability and maybe just a little too much exuberance, but she is only young and I am enjoying our journey together.
In March 2025 she qualified for Crufts 2026 for breed showing and we have been working hard on trying to regrow her coat after a major molt. Due to her love to 'work' she needed to put on a little weight for the show ring. Fingers crossed she will look stunning and behave herself, we have a couple of open shows to practice at - wish us luck!

rrived so quickly, another 'meant to be' story. i still pinch myself that she's mine, our perfect little madam, she is very confident and an absolute credit to her breeder, Sharron.
After losing Boo so suddenly, my coping strategy is to have a plan forming for the future. Boo will never be replaced, I know from past experience that I dwell on what I could, should or didn't do to keep her with me longer.

Rioja is an absolute delight and has formed a great bond with Zenii, they are
inseparable 'partners in crime'.
Already proving to be a great working partner, she is keen and fast to learn.
We have attended workshops with top handlers to learn the best techniques
and get her used to being in different environments.
In March I entered her in a breed Champ Show, again, more for the experience. I had a vague hope that maybe, just maybe she might win me a qualification to Crufts, but its been over 10 years since I've shown, so the odds were against us.
Her conformation and movement are textbook - her enthusiasm needed a little restraint but the Judge loved her and - we qualified for Crufts 2026 with a 3rd Place!! We've got some work to do to get her to stand still and not fidget, she's got time to mature :)

In May she also had her first attempt at Hoopers in the Nursery & Legends Classes (puppies 12 months+ and oldies class). She wasn't perfect but she was fast, super confident and and loved every second. We've got lots to work on before she reaches 15 months and can do progression classes but we'll have fun whatever. I am so, so proud of her, she has a temperament to die for and just loves life.

Rioja has full hereditary clear DNA tests for all current conditions and will be hip scored in the next few weeks. All being well, I plan to breed her to Flint in 2026/2027.

The last 12 months have been the worst for Bordertrix :(

On Friday 3rd January 2025 I had to say my last goodbye to Jazz. Only 2 weeks prior she had been diagnosed with a tumour in her bladder. We spent her last week enjoying the beaches in Norfolk, somewhere with lots of happy memories for us and we were determined to make the most of every minute.
I'm trying to focus on my plans for a positive future for the Bordertrix line, right now that is very difficult.

Less than six months apart we are also sad to announce the passing of Bordertrix Sensational AWS                                                              14/02/2014 - 26/06/2024

Boo.JPG

Always the worst kind of news to share, the loss of our Boo on Wednesday 26th June 2024. She was such a powerful dog and never showed any outward signs of how ill she was, even in the last few days. Just 2 weeks before she was given sleep she won a hoopers class in style and I shall cherish that rosette.
The heat wave the following week saw her struggle despite my best efforts to keep her cool and calm.
In Boo's case there was definitely nothing that would have saved her and I had already started grieving for her from the moment I knew how ill she was. Life was all about making every moment count - and we did that with oodles of fun!
I

We miss her so much, known as; Boopers, Booster, Boopey, Schmoops, Nutter and many more..........
